CLA Girls’ Volleyball now 7-3 The Christian Life Academy girls’ volleyball team is 7-3 overall on the season so far and are in sole possession of second place at 3-1 in TCAC-Div I, just a half game behind Nova Classical.

Auction will support Christian Life Academy: Odds are you don’t actually need a five-pound gummy bear, but if dentists and diet plans hold no sway in your life, you will have a chance this month to support Christian Life Academy while acquiring one.

Rotary recognizes Christian Life students:  The Rotary Club of Farmington recognized three students and one volunteer from Christian Life Academy at its meeting Feb. 4.

Alumni chapel brings Christian Life grads together: Heather Meyen, Christian Life’s dean of students, organized a special chapel for visiting alumni. The school gathered its current students and invited all of the graduates in at once. Returning students got a chance to see old friends, and to tell their college stories.

Christian Life Volleyball Earns First Round Bye:  The Christian Life Academy volleyball team has played to a 17-5 record this season and earned a top-four seed in its 24-team section for the first time ever.

Athlete of the Week: Mick Spangrud Spangrud, a senior captain for the CLS boys basketball team, passed 1,000 career points this season. He also led the team in steals and assists.  The senior is a five-year member of the varsity team.

Larson signs with Robert Morris Anna Larson became the first CLS athlete to sign a national letter of intent when she committed to continue her volleyball career at Robert Morris Universisty in Chicago.

Local students earn a trip to Washington, D.C. Five local high school students, including CLS Senior, Anna Larson, were recently selected to participate in the National Rural Electric Association’s annual Washington D.C. Youth Tour. The participants are selected and sponsored by their local electric cooperatives.

Christian Life School volleyball earns third title The CLS varsity volleyball team won the Championship match in the Christian Athletic League Tournament Oct 27, with a 3-0 win. This is their third year in a row to take the first place trophy, and their third year to end the season undefeated.

Larson reaches 1,000 kills Senior Anna Larson was honored for reaching 1,000 career kills in volleyball at CLS.  Larson has played on the varsity since her eighth-grade season as an outside hitter and middle hitter.

Haenni wins state essay contest award CLS eighth grader, Abby Haenni, was recently named a winner in the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association’s annual essay contest.  Haenni decided to donate all her winnings to former CLS teachers, Donovan and Andrea Dugan, who will soon be serving as missionaries to Indonesia.
