Alumni Spotlight: Maria Norman at US Air Force Academy
We are proud to announce the appointment of graduate Maria Norman (2018) to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. This year, USAFA offered appointments to 1160 candidates from over 10,000 applications received. Only 23 are from Minnesota. In addition to being measured by academic and athletic performance, standardized test scores, demonstrated leadership through extracurricular and community service involvement, essays, interviews, and a military physical fitness test, the applicants must be nominated by a US Senator, US Representative, or Vice President of US. Maria, a Lakeville resident, was nominated by Congressman Jason Lewis of the MN second district.
United States Air Force Lt. Col Jake Nelson presented Maria with a certificate of appointment at the Christian Life Academy High School awards assembly on May 31.
Congratulations Maria! We’re so proud of you!
